These 4 tracks were comissioned by my very dear friend, pianist and composer Pepe Cespedes. It has been one of the most enjoyable creative projects I've been involved in. Once he gave me the theme for each of them, he said 'I'd like you to feel absolutely free with this project, no creative restrictions.
“Illegal Tango” by La Piantada (2002-2006)
LA PIANTADA is a tango trio with a guitar player, Marcelo Dominguez; upright bass player, Martin Balik; and pianist/composer, Carlos David Bernales Vilca. They formed and based the band in New York City, where the album “Illegal Tango” with 11 original songs were recorded and released on January 30, 2006.
